Similar names hide a cache difference. Samsung specifies HMB for the EVO Plus and 2 GB of DRAM for the 2 TB 990 PRO. Host memory is different from dedicated DRAM on the SSD.
Sequential figures are manufacturer peaks. They do not reveal sustained speed once a write buffer fills. Consider your workload and independent sustained-write tests.
Both have 1,200 TBW at this capacity and a limited warranty up to five years. Time and written volume both matter. Check the exact MPN and cooling clearance; these linked variants have no factory heatsink.

Manufacturer speeds are maxima under stated test conditions. They do not show sustained writing after the cache fills. TBW is a write-endurance warranty limit, not a predicted failure date; time limits also apply. Check M.2 length, interface and heatsink clearance in the host manual. Price per TB uses nominal decimal capacity and a confirmed delivered total.
