How we select and order

Version 1.0. Every chosen requirement counts once. Fully confirmed matches come first; other results show missing or unsuitable properties. More capacity above a requirement earns no bonus. The price choice orders only fully matching variants by available, approved delivered total. Unknown prices or out-of-stock offers never become a price winner. This compares our catalog, not the whole market.

Camera choice here checks lenses, zoom and storage. Photo, night-shot and video quality require comparable tests; megapixels are not used as a quality score.

OLED, IPS, VA or TN: what fits your use?

Panel technology is one part of the choice. Brightness, calibration, backlighting and motion performance depend on the exact model. Mini-LED describes the backlight, not an alternative LCD panel family.

OLED

+ Deep blacks and generally fast pixel transitions suit movies and moving images.

− Repeated static content can cause uneven wear or burn-in. Brightness and text rendering vary by panel generation and implementation.

IPS

+ Generally wide viewing angles help when sharing a screen or viewing off-centre.

− Black levels also depend on the backlight. Glow may be visible in a dark room; accurate colour is not guaranteed by the IPS label.

VA

+ Native contrast is generally higher than common IPS panels, helping dark movie scenes.

− Colours and brightness may change off-angle. Some models have slower dark transitions, but this varies by implementation.

TN

+ Some implementations combine high refresh rates with fast transitions.

− Viewing angles are generally more restricted; colour and brightness change sooner off-centre.

Pixel 9a or Pixel 9?

Both have a 6.3-inch display supporting up to 120Hz and a Tensor G4. The 9a has 8GB RAM and the standard 9 has 12GB. Neither has a dedicated telephoto camera. More RAM does not establish a fixed speed improvement in your applications.

Pixel 9 Pro: compact or XL?

Both Pro models have 16GB RAM, a Tensor G4 and a dedicated 5× telephoto. The XL changes the physical choice: 6.8 rather than 6.3 inches and 221 rather than 199 grams. Megapixels alone do not establish camera quality.
